TGIF. Oh man, I never thought today would come. Not that it really matters, being that all my days seem to mesh together. I still can’t believe it’s the first day of February and this new year is flying by. I think it’s because I’ve been so stressed out and have so much going on that I haven’t really had time to think about anything else. Anyway, today I have Orly Decoded. A really pretty deep blue grey, which is slightly darker on the nail than in the bottle. I love me a good grey, and this fits that bill. I used two coats. Completely unrelated to nails, let me tell you a story of something that happened at work yesterday. So a mom and a cute little girl, maybe 2ish came into the store and were shopping. Being that I work in retail currently, some of you may or may not be able to relate. I also don’t have kids so I didn’t find this really cute in any way shape or form. But anyway onwards with my story. The mom came in to literally buy maybe 5 things? They came up to the register with an entire cart full of TINY (and when I mean tiny, I’m talking probably the smallest items we have for sale, such as stickers/ travel bottles/ earring pouches, etc, you get my drift) things. I’m not even talking one or two items, the entire cart was filled to the brim of all these miscellaneous things. The mom pays for the five items and says, we don’t want anything else in this cart, she (her daughter) picked these all out and threw them in the cart. OH EM GEE. Seriously, if the child was put on the show Supermarket Sweep, she probably would have been a great contestant, but I thought this was pretty rude. Maybe it’s because I don’t have kids, and I mean we do get that all the time, when the mom is there to buy 1-2 things and the kid picks out a few things and she tells me that they’re not getting the stuff the kid picked out. I think that’s perfectly fine. I have no problem with putting back a few items the kid might have grabbed, but this was beyond excessive. I don’t know, is this a normal thing for little kids to “go shopping” and the mom just lets them put whatever they want in a shopping cart until it’s about to overflow? Maybe I’m just sick of retail =[, opinions?
