Hello lovely readers! I hope this week is going smoothly. I have my face buried in my books and I’m physically, and mentally drained. This better be worth it! I’m sure it will, I’m so ready to start changing some lives! But, before I start doing that, I will do my best to update at least once or twice more this week, and then you will not hear from me until next week or so, as it starts turning into crunch time, my internet time will be more and more limited. I’m actually updating this while I’m on my study break, so I’m trying to type as fast as I can to meet my 10 minute break mark. Onwards to the polish! I’m hoping OPI DS Fantasy will null over my absence =] A super pretty deep dark blue, definitely wouldn’t call this a holo, but its still such a deep sapphire color, I’m sort of in love. It kind of has a warm fuzzy look to it no? I used two coats for the swatch. Speaking of polishes, I’m in dire need to get myself caught up with the new collections. I need to go on a polish shopping day, and I will definitely do so soon! Until then, please keep me in your prayers and send me some good juju as I start going into major study mode. Until next time, here’s a random tidbit of information from my textbooks!

The 4 G’s: Gingko, Ginseng, Garlic, and Ginger, will decrease platelet aggregation and can potentially increase bleeding.

Happy Tuesday folks! I hope the weekend was wonderful and everyone is off to a productive week! I sure am! I am waiting for my date to test, so I’ve been studying in the meantime. As my test date gets closer, you will be seeing less of me. I’m sorry in advance. But, after thinking long and hard, my career sort of trumps nail polish at the moment. My apologies in advance. In any case, I have OPI DS Vintage today! I think this is a HTF, but I got pretty lucky and found this at a random beauty supply store I popped my head into. It’s a gorgeous rose gold holo. Quite pretty. I needed two coats. Speaking of holos, I need to find the China Glaze hologlam collection and the Color Club halo hues collection. I’m in dire need of some holos. In any case, thanks for being patient with me, as my posts will be more sporadic and shorter due to all of my time being consumed by nursing review books. I will leave you with this last tid bit of what I’ve been studying: Common food sources of Potassium include: avocados, bananas, cantaloupe, carrots, fish, mushrooms, oranges, potatoes, pork, beef, veal, raisins, spinach, strawberries, and tomatoes! Happy New Years Eve! I hope you all have something spectacular planned for tonight, despite it falling on a Monday. It’s so awkward when holidays fall on a Tuesday. Is New Years considered a holiday? I think it should. Well in any case, I have OPI DS Divine today. A medium purple toned pink holo. Super pretty and in two coats I’m not complaining. I need to get my hands on more holos, though one could argue I don’t need anymore nail polish for the rest of my life. I for the first time in many years, do not have anything planned for tonight. Shocking. I know. I’m pretty shocked myself. I’m sure I’ll probably end up at a local bar with my bestie and my brother and a few other friends, but nothing over the top planned. I guess I’ve grown jaded, and just plain lazy. Speaking of lazy, I finally pulled out my Konad stamping kit after what seems like centuries and did a Konad manicure yesterday. It’s absolutely atrocious so I’m sitting here wondering when I should take it off. It has been exactly 14 hours since I applied it and it makes me cringe every time I see it. Has that ever happened to you? When a manicure was so perfect in your mind and in actual execution it looks terrible? Hmm believe it or not, this happens a lot more often to me than one would think. Anyway, it’s time to take this atrocious manicure off, and go back to watching The Big Bang Theory (my new go-to show of the moment). OPI DS Couture

YAY for the weekend! Happy Saturday! It is SO cold and windy and rainy here. It really doesn’t feel like SoCal, so I’ve been lounging around in sweatpants and a sweatshirt all day. Don’t judge me! My room is a nice and toasty 50 degrees. Absolutely ridiculous. I live in a refrigerator. Today I have OPI DS Couture. I tried to upload this yesterday and it didn’t upload for some reason. So, here is attempt number 2! OPI DS Couture is a nice medium red toned pink holo but it’s not too terribly holo. I think it’s a really pretty color and it gives a nice pop of color without being overly obnoxious. I used two coats for the picture. You know what I’ve come to realize? Just how wasteful we are. It really makes me sad. I try not to be too wasteful, and I try to recycle whenever I can, but man. America as a country is SO wasteful. As ridiculous as it sounds (and as much as I love packaging!) I find packaging so incredibly wasteful! With the holidays come and gone, it makes me wonder just HOW MUCH wrapping paper/ tote bags were manufactured, sold, purchased, given, and then tossed out! Think about all the poor trees! I for one am not too talented in the wrapping department and in all honesty, I prefer gifts that are unwrapped for the sake of not wasting paper. *shrug* Don’t get me wrong, I love a beautifully wrapped gift, but it’s SO incredibly pretty for a whole 2 minutes until the paper is ripped off and thrown away. HAHA, I’ll stop here because I think I’m starting to sound like The Lorax. =] Please recycle and think of the trees! =D

Happy Tuesday folks! Sorry for my absence. It’s FINALS WEEK! AHHHH CRUNCH TIME! No matter how many finals I’ve taken in my life, I still dread finals week like no other. I just can’t seem to focus. I panic and drive myself into craziness over grade calculations and what not before I’m just too tired to study. hehe. Procrastination much? Also, where the heck was Pinterest when I was in undergrad?! Although, I’m slightly grateful it didn’t exist. Lord only knows what would’ve happened if I was stuck on Pinterest during finals week. BADDDDDD HORRRIBLE THINGSSSS. Anyway, In addition to having finals, last minute computerized exams, NCLEX-RN test predictors, studying, and clinicals. I’m sick. YAY. Perfection. I feel like an elephant is dancing ballet across my chest. UGH. I’m coughing, sneezing, wheezing, the whole nine yards. I feel like crap. SO…. blogging has been sort of left out of my sad life right now. ME SO SORRY. Hopefully I’ll be right back in the swing of things once my final is over, and I pass this damn nursing program. Anyway, OPI DS Perfection, was one of my dusty finds. This isn’t all that holo like the other DS pretties, but it’s an almost duochrome like pinkish red shimmer. It’s actually quite pretty. I needed three coats, so next time I wear this one, I might layer it over something else. You know what else is shocking? My nails have been completely naked for the past two weeks. ABSOLUTELY NOT OKAY. =[ My nails are crying for some color. I’ve just been feeling way too lousy to pay attention to my nails. *sigh* Alright, back to the books. Please send me some good vibes please, I will most definitely need all the luck I can get. ;)
